Schools provide crucial medical support in case of emergency. TMS has exclusive infirmary with required facilities. In case of any emergency, students are taken to nearest govt hospital and parents are informed about the situation. School expects parents to share critical medical details of their children. TMS maintains updated health records of every child (as shared by their respective parents), details of medicines / first aid administered and information shared with the parents.
MEDICAL ADVICE TO PARENTS/ GUARDIAN
- It is important to provide accurate and updated medical record of your child especially if the child is suffering from Asthma, Epilepsy, Rheumatic or any heart problem. The details of the illness must be filled up in the Almanac with the treatment being taken and the child should be under continuous medical supervision of a specialist doctor.
- Medical Card with detailed medical history and immunization record is to be submitted compulsory by student.
Hyglene & Health: Follow regular routine of hygiene like:
- Proper hair care to prevent lice, infection, regular trimming of nails, washing hands with soap and water before each meal.
- Brushing teeth regularly twice morning after wake up and after dinner before bed.
- De-worm your child at least once a year after consulting your doctor.
- Ensure that your child gets a good night's sleep of about 7-8 hours so that he/she does not feel sleepy and sluggish in the school. 8 hours regular sleep is necessary for child's health
- Caution your child from eating at roadside eateries, especially milk products and fried food.
- Make exercise an integral part of your child's rutine. Regular exercise is necessary for good physical health and to prevent obesity.
- Make sure that your child drinks only from his/her own water bottle in the school
- Diet Give your child nutritionally rich diet containing proteins, fats, carbohydrates, proper growth and development. A containing proteins, fats, carbohydrates, proper growth and development. A good diet should contain all the ingredients like cereals, pulses, leaf and other vegetables, milk and fruits.
- A student returning to the school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a fitness certificate from a doctor and observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to the school
- Strictly follow immunization schedule as advised by your Doctor.
- All recommended vaccines should be given to your child. Encourage your child to participate in school sponsored health check-up camps. Do take your child for annual health, dental and ophthalmic check-up.
- If your child is unwell or suffering from any allergy or contagious disease, then you are requested not to send him/her to school and inform class teacher and transport in-charge over telephone. Please observe the prescribed period of quarantine in case case of diseases like Chicken Pox, Mumps, Measles, etc.
- In case of chronic diseases like epilepsy, asthma or heart diseases, please inform the Principal in writing. It will help school to plan your child's studies accordingly.
