Security in schools is paramount to ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for students. Parents are always worried about the safety and well being of their darling heartswhile they are in the school. At TMS, safety and security of children in each of its operations is prime focus. Modern feature like RFID based entry and exit monitoring and personla care like exit of every child under watchful eye of dedicated teachers have been adopted to achieve zero fault performance. 

 

Key Points for  Security  at TMS                                                                                                 

  1. Controlled Access

    • Secured Entrances and Exits: Entire campus is gated property. 5 feet high boundary wall with strong gate and 24*7 security guards have been provided as first layer of security. The main building is constructed in such a way that there are 3 channel- gated entries each equipped with RFID based entry management system. THe building is constructed on 'safe by design' concept.
    • Visitor Management:  TMS security Guards are well-trained and alert. Every visitor including parent is identified and entry and exit is recorded. All chidren being taken away by parent or any body else on the authority of parent before school time is required to seek permission slip from the reception. It is checked at the exit gate and only after proper verifiaction child is allowed to be taken out of school in private vehicle.
  2. RFID based Attendance system
    • All entry gates of the school building are equipped with RFID devices. All students are trained to tap their RFID enabled I-Card on the device while entering and leaving the school. It sends notification to parents every time the child taps the card. It is very powerful safety feature unique to The Manglam school only.  
  3. CCTV cameras Surveillance Systems
    • 72 CCTV cameras have been Installed in and around the building at strategic locations.
    • Monitoring is done by the Principal herself from her chamber. monitor live feeds.
    • Footage is kept safe for 7 days for review.
  4. Communication system for announcement
    • PA system has been installed in the building in all corridors for regular announcement with central control at Principal’s chamber.
  5. Staff Training
    • Staff Training on threat recognition and emergency response.
  6. Student Awareness and Participation
    • Safety Education: Students are given annual training and sensitization on fire and other kinds of disaster. Experts from various agencies including SDERF are called to sensitize children.
  7. ‘Safe by design’
    • Entire building has been constructed on ‘safe by design’ concept.
    • Classroom doors have glass window to facilitate supervising teachers and staff to see inside even if the door is closed. It acts as a preventive measure against bullying and unintentional incident of any little getting trapped inside the classroom.
  8. Safety during transit
    • TMS has buses fully compliant to government and CBSE norms, like window grills, CCTV cameras, GPS monitoring, speed governor, VLTD, Panic Button, First Aid box, Fire Extinguishers.
    • Buses have female attendant ‘Ayah’ to assist children in boarding and de-boarding the buses. Besides Ayahs do not allow any stranger to board or any child to get down except at designated bus stops.
    • TMS drivers are made to undergo eye checkup and their character and antecedents are verified regularly.
    • All TMS buses are fitted with RFID devices. As soon as bus reaches within 1 KM of the designated stop of the student, a notification is sent to parent about the location of the bus. On boarding the bus, students is to tap the I-Card on the device. It sends an SMS to parent about the safe boarding of the student into the bus. The procedure is followed while the student returns to home after the school.
